The only effective way to make such a change occur is to remove the glory they receive via abusive, underhanded, and deceitful means. If they no longer win medals while the governing bodies of sport turn a blind eye to their blatant dishonesty, they will be forced to find another way to win. If rules are enforced, if cheaters are justly dealt with, then changes will be made. It worked with the former Soviet Union and it will work with China. It is up to the FIG and the International Olympic Committee to make that all-important decision to enforce their own rules, protect the integrity of sport, and safeguard the athletes. But it is up to us to remind these organizations of their duties and impress upon them the desire of the world at large to see these athletes protected. I encourage you to get involved and please contact the FIG and the IOC to let them know that this issue is important to you and that you are eager to see a just and reasonable resolution to this on-going investigation.
