The Dark Road to Chinese Gymnastic Glory

Click to visit full gallery

Thanks to a kind anonymous source from within China, I have created a gallery of images showing the conditions young Chinese gymnasts are subjected to at the hand of their government's training program. These images are simply heart-breaking, but serve as an illustration of the dark and painful road these children are forced to travel in order to reach the Olympic medal podium for the sake of their country's glory. Please, grab some tissues, and take a look:

The Children of China's Gymnastics Program

Again, no child should ever be subjected to such treatment, especially not against their will and the will of their parents. This is why it is so vitally important that the the minimum age requirement rule is upheld and enforced by the FIG and the IOC. These children deserve our care, concern, and protection.
