I did it. I caved.

I did it. I caved. I went to Books-A-Million at midnight tonight, stood in line, and got the fifth Harry Potter book. And yet, I still haven't pulled it out of the bag. :) I couldn't find my green satin dress from when I got the fourth book, so I didn't really get dressed up. I did do over-the-top make-up, though.

There was another reason for the make-up besides just for the fun of it. I've got a horrible cold, and I was *really* pale. I didn't really feel like going out in public looking hideous, so I went with the make-up, even though it was midnight and I was just going to stand in line and then pick up a book. It was fun, though. As close as I could get to 'dressing up' without being the only one to show up as a true, honest-to-goodness geek. I'm kinda sad I didn't get to step out of the black BMW wearing a flowing black cape, though... :)

I really hate colds. At least there's something on TV tonight - "Monk". I like that show, it's just nicely neurotic. I think I'm going to quit writing for tonight, because this is feeling rather pointless. Apart from announcing going out at midnight to get the HP book, I don't have much else to say. So there we go. :) Pleasant dreams!
