About     The LoveBugs came into being late one night when Heather Lawver was bored and couldn't sleep. It was the eve of Valentine's Day and she was debating whether or not to write a rant about the silliness of that holiday on her blog. She realized that a rant would be far too expected, so instead she borrowed a few watercolor pencils from her brother and started sketching. In a few moments, the LoveBugs were born.     No one's quite sure what the LoveBugs really are, or if they're even bugs. They exist simply as an outlet for frustration, confusion, and occasionally when we're feeling sappy, elation. Sure, they may be cute, but the message they send won't always be pretty. Although they may seem sicky-sweet at first glance, they are what the audience makes of them.     The first bugs created in February of 2005 came from Heather and the suggestions of her friend Steve. But now they're open to you - what do you want them to say about love? Submit your own caption, and if it inspires the artist, you may see your comment as a cartoon.
